The Bright yellow and orange butterfly in my book is based on my little sister Yara ! Those are her favorite colors!

Luke the caterpillar is based on my

baby brother Luke. He is always on the move exploring, climbing and making me laugh!

My Grandma took me to the Turtle Hospital in the Florida Keys for the first time. They help hurt and sick sea turtles get better and release them back into the ocean. I loved visiting the turtles and want to help them! My trip to the turtle hospital, inspired Teina's character!

Honey the Bee was inspired by my very first friendship! I met my first friend Ericka at age 3 while twirling around in toddler tumble!

Just like bees help flowers grow, good friends can our your heart grow too. 💜

Many of the conversations in, "It's Just the Beginning," came from real conversations with my family and friends! I hope my story helps you believe in yourself, care for others and remember that every good thing starts somewhere!
